I. Installing Home Budget version 2.2
   ----------------------------------
    
  1) Unpack all files into a temporary directory. (ie C:\TEMP)

  2) Run SETUP.EXE using the Windows 95 run command or Shell, or
     the Filemanager under Windows 3.1 

     This will install the files and setup the icons.

  Notes:
    
  See online help for more information about setting up accounts.
   
  A sample HB database is included, use the File-Open menu to load 
  SAMPLE.trn.

    
II. Description of Home Budget
    --------------------------

    Home Budget Finance manager is designed in the traditional
    envelope system where you set aside a portion of your income
    for various expenses. 
    
    Where other finance/bugetting systems are clumsy or too
    complex to use, Home Budget is designed to be simple, yet has
    all the most frequently needed features in a robust easy to
    use interface.

    It's a simple easy to use concept for budgeting. Each month
    you create budget transactions automatically that move your
    income into various accounts that allocate these funds. Just
    like putting your income into various envelopes, where each
    envelope is for a different purpose, ie one for Groceries,
    one for Car Repairs and so on. Then when you actually spend
    money on Groceries or Car Repais, it comes out of the money
    in that envelope and is also recorded against the real fund
    account (ie CheckBook, Bank, CreditCard etc.).

    Home Budget allows you to do this quickly and easily, with:
    
    o Fast Intuitive interface (written in C++)
    o Quick One line entry per transaction
    o Tracks Credit card spending
    o Displays Charts/graphs for many combinations of data
    o Summarize, Print and view totals
    o Schedule autopayments
    o Summarize Networth including Assets.
    o Sizeable, sortable columns just by clicking
    o Windows 95/NT 32 bit or Windows 3.1 16 bit versions included.
